Aims: to provide the students with underpinning radiation protection knowledge including biological effects of ionizing radiations, principles of radiation protection and the international framework, regulatory control, assessment of external and internal exposures, shielding calculation for medical applications, protection against occupational exposure in diagnostic radiography, radiotherapy and nuclear medicine.
